Fashion week is finally here! So far, designers such as BCBGMAXAZRIA, Honor, and Marissa Webb, have brought us beautiful spring looks in neon brights and pastel hues. Here are some trends for SS/15 to make note of. If only we could skip through fall and winter and right into spring again.
Desigual with Adriana Lima
The first day of fashion week kicked off with Desigual and Adriana Lima. The runway was filled with bold graphic prints, bright florals, and geometric prints in their signature rainbow colors. Slouchy embroidered handbags and floral crowns flooded the runway.
60s and 70s era collars and bell sleeves were seen at Honor, mixed with feminine prints and fabrics in white, pale pink, baby blue, and vibrant tangerines.
The runway at BCBGMAXZRIA was filled with muted patterns and pastel hues, long feminine silk dresses, and obi belts.
The designers behind Tome, Ramon Martin and Ryan Lobo, gave us details such as pleats, bows, and one-shouldered pieces. Each look comes in beautiful fabrics such lace and taffeta in hues of gold, bright pink, pale blue, and burnt orange. Trenches turned into dresses with revealing layers underneath.
As the recently appointed Creative Director of Banana Republic, Marissa Webb brought us wearable pieces in staples like cotton shirt dresses, wool blazers, metallics, and gunmetal tweeds and lots of silk. There were menswear-inspired pieces like army green anorak jackets that were perfect for early spring’s chilly weather.
