While performing in Mexico this weekend, Enrique Iglesias tried to grab a flying drone that was buzzing around so he could aim it at the audience for a POV shot, and instead, he ended up getting his fingers sliced and bloody.
Although Enrique didn’t let the bloody mess top him from finishing the concert, he ended up being rushed to a hospital in L.A. afterward to see a specialist. On Monday, he underwent reconstructive surgery to fix his hand for good, the Associated Press reports.
He seems to be recovering well, according to a statement his publicist emailed Page Six.
“Thank you to all for your concern and good wishes. Enrique is currently undergoing reconstructive hand surgery today,” the statement read. “Enrique will resume his tour July 3rd in Mexico City. We appreciate all your wishes and prayers.”
