Enrique Iglesias Sued For Plagiarizing ‘Bailando’

“Bailando,” the Enrique Iglesias jam, featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona is unquestionably one of the biggest Billboard hits of all time. Unfortunately, a new lawsuit claims that the catchy hit song we love so much was plagiarized.

Songwriters Cristian Escuti and German Schulz claim they cut a similar track called “Quiero Bailar Contigo,” which they sent to a Sony executive in 2012, reports TMZ. They never heard back from Sony.

Escuti and Schulz have not released their song to the public, but you can listen to Iglesias’s “Bailando” below, which currently boasts over 692 million views.
