Celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow surrendered to the power of Manuka, a honey produced from a flower exclusive to New Zealand and is sold in pharmacies and health food stores throughout Britain. Today, the manuka is considered an essential item for those who want to maintain their health and beauty.
Manuka contains medicinal and antibacterial properties and can be used in beauty masks to moisturize and replenish skin, heal cuts, and fight sore throats.
We decided to experiment with Manuka and create our own honey mask. (And it really works!)
How to make your own honey mask:
In a bowl mix three tablespoons of Manuka honey (the drier, the better). Add a teaspoon of brown sugar and two tablespoons of orange juice (vitamin C) over the honey. Mix well and apply the formula gently over your skin and massage until you feel the sugar grains exfoliating your skin. Clean the mask off of your face using a washcloth and warm water and feel the difference!
